CSHBA Builder Member Application

Instructions

The Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs (CSHBA) knows the value of strength in numbers, and being a member is one of the most important things you can do for our industry. Without members and funding, there is no advocacy. In an effort to encourage membership, the CSHBA offers payment options.

HBA Membership Commitment: I (we) agree, that if accepted, we will be governed by the bylaws of the Association and Code of Ethics, as long as we continue to be a member. I (we) also agree that when I (we) wish to withdraw, will pay all dues and indebtedness due the Association and tender resignation in writing to the Board of Directors. I (we) understand that acceptance of this application does not constitute membership until approved by the Membership Committee and the Board of Directors in accordance with the bylaws.

Political Dues: I understand that a portion of my dues will be transferred to the National Association of Home Builders and the Colorado Association of Home Builders for advocacy purposes.

Annual Membership Dues: Membership dues in the Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs are $860 per year for Builder and Associate Members. You can choose either a one time payment, quarterly payments or a monthly payment plan that includes a $4 monthly processing fee which will be added to the annual dues stated above. Membership will take effect on your first payment. There are no refunds. Membership Dues are subject to change by the Board of Directors.

Note: Dues payments to the Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. However, dues payments may be deductible as ordinary and necessary business expense, subject to exclusion for lobbying activity. Because a portion of your dues is used for lobbying by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and by the Colorado Association of Home Builders (CAHB), 16.18% of the total dues, or $139.18 is not deductible for income tax purposes. Political contributions made to CSHBA are voluntary on top of your membership dues
