Note: you must already be a member of the Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs in order to join the Remodelers Council.
The membership is tied to an individual, not your company.
HBA Remodelers Council
Valuable networking and educational opportunities, as well as a strong sense of community, are just a few of the many benefits associated with membership in the HBA Remodelers Council.
The Remodelers Council meets monthly to:
- Share industry concerns and information that affect the remodeling industry.
- Participate in education programs to increase knowledge and improve business skills.
- Exchange ideas on best business practices, trade secrets, and new products.
- Communicate with organizations such as the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department and the Better Business Bureau.
- Promote public awareness of the benefits of hiring a professional remodeler.
- Participate in volunteer efforts for the betterment of the community.
National Affiliation
Membership in our local Remodelers Council also includes membership in the National Association of Home Builders Remodelers Council. This gives you access to all the right tools to build your business and meet the challenges ahead.
- Directories of Professional Remodelers and Remodeler Associates: Only Remodelers Council members get listed in the Directory of Professional Remodelers on nahb.org, which is promoted to consumers and draws more than 100,000 visits a year.
- Exclusive Marketing and Research Data: Only NAHBR members get unlimited access to proprietary economic analysis tools that can help pinpoint new business opportunities, including the Remodeling Market Research Tool and the Remodeling Market Index.
- Advocacy: For more than 50 years, NAHB's Advocacy team has fought on Capitol Hill to protect and preserve the interests of NAHBR members on issues, helping control unnecessary and onerous regulations that could negatively impact your business success.
- Monthly e-newsletter "ReNews" with the issues updates and industry news you need.
Membership Requirements
The Housing & Building Association Remodelers Council membership is offered to all individuals who are employed by HBA Member Companies. This includes:
Remodeler/Builder Members- Any person or entity whose business is the construction or remodeling of homes, commercial buildings, or the business of land development within the territorial jurisdiction of this Association.
Associate Members- Associate Membership shall be open to any person or entity engaged in any allied trade, business, industry, or profession within the territorial jurisdiction of this Association.
Code of Ethics
In making this application for the HBA Remodelers Council, I hereby agree to abide by the Remodelers Council Code of Ethics. I will:
- Conduct my business operations in a manner that will reflect credit upon myself, the Remodelers Council, and the remodeling industry.
- Comply both in spirit and letter with rules and regulations prescribed by law and government agencies for the health, safety, and welfare of the community.
- Avoid using any statement or implication that may be misleading or deceptive.
- Use only materials equal to or exceeding the quality of those specified in the contract.
- Start the construction process as soon as feasible upon award of a contract and proceed diligently to the completion of the project without unnecessary delays.
- Cooperate with the Council in responding to and resolving complaints registered against Council members
The responsibility of every member shall be to conduct business and relationships with customers in the highest professional standards, providing customers with a complete understanding of job specifications, contract, and price. All workmanship will meet an industry-standard acceptable within the industry.
I hereby agree to advertise myself as a member of the Remodelers Council, only while in good standing, and use the Remodelers emblem, only while a Remodeler member.
