Description

This training prepares General Contractors to accurately complete and submit Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) permit applications for new construction projects. Participants will learn county permitting requirements, application procedures, required documentation, submission standards, and common issues that can delay approval.

Completion of this training is required for any General Contractor seeking authorization to submit OWTS permit applications. General Contractors who have not completed the training must rely on a licensed installer to submit applications on their behalf.

The course includes a guided application walkthrough, examples of complete and incomplete submissions, and opportunities to ask questions of Environmental Health staff. Participants will receive verification of completion at the end of the course.
